The movie is as you can tell not an easy watch. Enter the Void director Gaspar Noe helms this 3D envelope-pushing, non-linear narrative examining modern love and sexual desires. Are we able to appreciate what we have? Or do we long for things we can't have? Can we be happy with the person we spend our time or is the temptation for something new too big? Obviously that depends on the individual and their "world" view. Which brings us back to our initial question. Laying emotions out there and going through motions (literally and metaphorically) is draining. It's not only being naked physically, but also mentally. You may not have seen this actors before, but you'll see everything of them in this.

It goes without saying that this is full of nudity. And it begins with a masturbation scene, to shock you right out of the gate (or those who will be offended by it of course). And let's get this out of the way straight ahead: If you didn't or don't already know, this movie has scenes of explicit sex in it. And it's not like it doesn't suit or fit with the movie (if you excuse the pun).
While I didn't try to think of the song, the line "Baby don't hurt me. For the rest of this day, he recalls his past two years with Electra in a series of fragmented, nonlinear flashbacks how they first met in Paris, their quick hookup, and their lives over the next two years which is filled with drug abuse, rough sex and tender moments. In one morning, Electra's mother, Nora, phones him to ask if he's heard from Electra, because she hasn't heard from her for three months, and given her daughter's suicidal tendencies. This unplanned pregnancy ended the relationship between Murphy and Electra on a horrible note, and it forced Murphy to marry Omi. But later, he had sex with her behind Electra's back, as a result of which Omi became pregnant. One day, they met and had a no-strings-attached threesome with another woman, a young blonde Danish teenager named Omi, as a way to add some excitement to their love life. He had a French girlfriend, called Electra, whom he dated for two years. Murphy is an American cinema school student, living in Paris.
